- Living expenses vary depending on the country, university, and individual, generally as follows
- United States: 12,000,000 to 14,000,000 KRW per year
- Japan: 6,000,000 to 9,000,000 KRW per year
- China: 4,000,000 to 5,000,000 KRW per year
Credit recognition process and rules for exchange students
- Exchange students can earn between a minimum of 12 credits and a maximum of 17 credits per semester, with a total maximum of 34 credits per year recognized by their home university.
- Credits earned at the host university are recognized as if earned at the home university and can be applied to major, double major, or general education requirements.
- Courses taken at the host university will substitute for equivalent courses in the home university curriculum for credit recognition. Students must consult their academic advisor before selecting courses to ensure credit transfer.
- If the credit hours differ, courses may be split or combined for recognition. For example, 3 credits earned abroad might be recognized as two separate courses of 2 credits and 1 credit.
- For credits earned at overseas partner universities, the credits count toward graduation credits but are excluded from GPA calculation and treated as Pass/Fail grades only.
