Sahmyook University’s Student Affairs Office operates various scholarship programs to encourage student academic achievement and provide economic support.

Scholarship program guide

  • Eligible Students: Regularly enrolled students currently attending Sahmyook University.
  • All on-campus scholarships can be combined with other scholarships but cannot exceed 100% of tuition fees (*except those marked for dual support).
  • Scholarships will be revoked if students are expelled or disciplined, and such students will be excluded from scholarship eligibility during the semester of disciplinary action and the following semester.
  • Academic excellence scholarships are awarded based on the tuition fees of the student's previous department if they transfer to another department, but it cannot exceed the tuition fee of the new department.
  • Scholarship policies are subject to change by the Scholarship Committee; students should refer to the latest announcements or contact the Student Affairs Office at 02-3399-3225.

Foreign Student Scholarships

Academic Excellence Scholarship for Foreign Students Eligible Foreign students whose both parents are foreigners and who entered by the foreign student admission track
Scholarship Amounts
  • A : 60% of tuition
  • B : 45% of tuition
  • C : 35% of tuition
  • D : 25% of tuition
Criteria

Based on the previous semester's grades

  • A : GPA 4.0 or above
  • B : GPA 3.5 or above
  • C : GPA 3.0 or above
  • D : GPA 2.5 or above
    (Supported until the completion of regular semesters)
Korean Language Program Completion Scholarship Eligible Students who have completed at least 1 year of the university’s Korean language program
Scholarship Amount 30% of tuition
Criteria Awarded only for the admission semester
Foreign Students with TOPIK Certification Eligibility and Scholarship Amounts
  • A : TOPIK Level 6 at admission — 100% tuition until graduation
  • B : TOPIK Level 5 at admission — 100% tuition for 2 semesters (50% for transfer students)
  • C : TOPIK Level 4 at admission — 50% tuition for 2 semesters (50% for transfer students for 1 semester)
  • D : TOPIK Level 3 at admission — 25% tuition for 1 semester
Criteria

Based on previous semester grades for continuation

  • A : GPA 4.0 or above
  • B : GPA 3.5 or above
  • C : GPA 3.5 or above

* Students enrolled in the bilingual program are not eligible for the above scholarships.

Application Procedure

* Submit supporting documents to the Scholarship Officer at the Student Affairs Office.
