Eligibility Requirements

Nationality Both the applicant and their parents must be foreign nationals.
Academic Requirements 2nd Year Transfer:Completed 2+ semesters at a junior college or 1st year at a 4-year university (excluding seasonal terms) with required credits.
3rd Year Transfer: Completed 4+ semesters at a junior college or 2nd year at a 4-year university (excluding seasonal terms).
4th Year Transfer: Graduated (or expected to graduate) from a 3-year junior college or completed 3rd year (6 semesters, excluding seasonal terms) at a 4-year university.
Korean Track TOPIK (or TOPIK iBT) level 3 or higher (except for majors listed below)
For Arts & Design, Health & Human Performance, and Global Arts & Culture Convergence majors: level 2 or higher
For Physical Therapy, Counseling & Psychology and Nursing: level 4 or higher
For Early Childhood Education: level 5 or higher
Those who do not have TOPIK Score: Applicants who have completed a Korean language program at a domestic university equivalent to the required TOPIK level
Applicants who have passed the SU-TOPIK (Sahmyook University’s own Korean language test)
English Track Applicants must have one of the following minimum English proficiency test scores:
TOEFL iBT 71, IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, TEPS 600, or NEW TEPS 327.:
Applicants who hold citizenship from countries where English is an official language (e.g., the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa) may be exempt from submitting English proficiency test scores.
  • In the case of foreign citizenship, both the applicant and their parents must have acquired foreign nationality before the applicant began an educational program equivalent to the Korean high school curriculum.
  • Dual citizenship with Korea is not accepted.
  • GED, homeschooling, and online/cyber learning are not recognized.
  • If the applicant’s parents are divorced, official documents verifying the divorce and custody arrangements must be submitted. The nationality of the parent who holds legal custody will be considered for eligibility.
